
AI LEEN CHOO, PH.D.
Dr. Ai Leen Choo completed her doctorate in Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Georgia State University (GSU), a predominantly black- and minority-serving institution.
Dr. Choo is the Director of the Stuttering and Bilingualism Lab at GSU. Broadly, the aim of her research is to understand the relationship between literacy, language input, cognitive development, and stuttering. She teaches the Neuroscience for Communication and Stuttering courses at GSU. She also founded and co-leads the first National Stuttering Association affinity group for women who stutter.
